You will need to stay in the clinic for a period of time. You will be closely monitored by a nurse, the surgeon, and the anesthesiologist. If necessary, a drain may be placed to remove excess fluid from the surgical site. Usually, the drains can be removed within 24 to 48 hours. You will be allowed to leave the clinic once the surgeon and anesthesiologist deem it appropriate. Dental Studio Antalya will arrange your transportation to your hotel.
In the first few days, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, and significant swelling. These symptoms gradually subside within 2 to 6 weeks. You will be provided with pain medication and medication to minimize swelling. Rest is essential during the first week, and you should avoid applying pressure to your breasts.
During the initial weeks of recovery, you will need to wear a supportive sports bra and sometimes an elastic band. The doctor will inform you about the duration of wearing these garments. Physical exertion should be avoided in the first few weeks.
Around 2 weeks after the surgery, the stitches will be removed. After 3 weeks, you can gradually resume light activities, and approximately 6 weeks post-surgery, you can fully engage in your regular activities.
In the first few months, the scars will appear fiery in color but gradually become less visible. After a year, the white lines of the scars will hardly be noticeable. It is important to protect the scars from sun exposure during the first year. Even afterward, they should be covered or protected with a high-factor sunscreen. Initially, your nipples may be numb or highly sensitive, but normal sensation usually returns. The final results become visible after about 3 months. The end result is permanent, and most women are able to breastfeed fully.
Like any surgery, breast lift procedures carry general risks such as allergic reactions, poor wound healing, bleeding, or, despite sterile working conditions, infections. However, these occurrences are rare. There is a very small risk of thrombosis or anesthesia-related risks.
Sometimes, the naturally forming capsule around the implant can contract excessively, which can be corrected. The prosthesis may need to be replaced if the outer layer wrinkles or tears. There is a small risk of breast asymmetry or permanent numbness.
